Intro course:

Learn to Fly

This option is perfect for anyone who wants to earn their Part 107 license but doesn’t have much experience with drones. We’ll teach you everything you need to know about drone technology, safety, regulations, and how to fly. At the end of the program, you’ll get to take home a drone so you can continue practicing on your own. 

Advanced Course: 

Build Your Own Drone

If you’re interested in coding or engineering, this is the afterschool activity for you. This course is for advanced students who already have some drone experience and want to take it to the next level. 


Throughout the program, you’ll design and build your own drone. Learn basic coding skills and develop your passion for building and flying over the course of this 10-week program. At the end, you’ll take home your own drone with a license to fly. 

Internship program: 

Infrastructure Inspections

Aolani Aero proudly partners with local businesses to provide internships for our students. This is the perfect opportunity to gain work experience and learn the real-world applications of drone flight. 


As an intern, you’ll help local businesses inspect their infrastructure for signs of damage. Extensive flight and videography experience is required. Get in touch with us to learn more about our local youth internships in Middletown, CT.

Dates & Rates

We strive to make our drone lessons as accessible as possible for Connecticut’s youth and their families. For individual and small group lessons, dates can be adapted to fit your schedule. A typical program is 10 weeks long with 2 sessions per week


Rates range from $75 - $100 per child, per week, depending on the class size, experience level, and lessons covered. We charge a flat rate that includes use of a flight simulator and insurance.  To enroll in a course or learn more about our pricing, get in touch with us.
